(still) all my original parts
Sep. 6th, 2017 09:09 pmI want to thank everyone who has commented or texted or called me wishing me well. I appreciate you so very much. Here is today's update. After speaking with the surgeon at great length today, I have decided not to undergo the surgery to remove my gallbladder. He presented a strong case that the pancreatitis is not as a result of my gallbladder's mischief, and by the time we had this conversation, I was already very upset and uneasy about having an organ removed, so, unless the medical doctor says something really convincing tomorrow, I will be in the hospital until my pancreatitis is resolved, but I will not be undergoing surgery.

I do want you to know though that gallbladder removal is easy to have and easy to recover from. I got mine removed a few years ago because I had TONS of gallstones and recovery lasted about a week and wasn't super painful as long as I took frequent short walks.
So basically what I am saying is I totally support you keeping your gallbladder but just know in case the doctor does say something convincing the surgery is really not a problem.
